Introducing the Rama Range
Selecon re-conceives the 'conventional' lens luminaire for designers and technicians alike with innovative use of materials, integrated safety bond and now with your choice of Fast, Focus Technology* (FFT).
Lens luminaires are stage lighting ‘workhorses’; over stage, side light, back light, front of house side slots they deliver a widely variable cone of light (typically 4.5° – 60°) which can be shaped using a barndoor.
Selecon’s Rama range of Fresnels and PCs take these well-loved tools to the next evolutionary step with enhanced operational features and the option of presetting pan, tilt and beam setting before the focus (Fast Focus Technology* – to

The front and rear of the Rama are manufactured using the latest in engineering plastic technology (as used on our Pacific) to provide a cooler luminaire for you to adjust during focusing.

Access to re-lamp, clean or maintain your Rama is via the hinged side opening bottom door, the mains power is automatically disconnected when you open the door.

Rama luminaires are the first fixed luminaires to have an integrated safety bond.
One less item to forget or lose, always there to ensure your equipment is properly rigged, meeting today’s safe work practise.

The Rama range come fitted with a Focus Position label identified in degrees.
From March 2007 the original 'squeeze and slide' device will be removed and units will be supplied with screw focus knob supplied on all other models.
The squeeze action device will continue to be available as an accessory for those who wish to use it. Fitting the device is simply a matter of screwing it into the threaded nut which holds the screw focus knob mounted on the reflector assembly slide – Order Code – 17RAFTF.

The yoke is adjustable along the length of the luminaire to allow rebalancing when fitted with a colour scroller or for fitting into space-restricted mounting positions.
The balance point when fitted with barndoors is indicated
on the luminaire. Vulnerable electrical connections are located in a heat isolated compartment to extend their life, minimising down time and maintenance costs.
The Rama barndoor features jam free rotation, heat insulated flaps which can be individually re-tensioned if required.
Colour Frame sizes:
186mm x 190mm / 7 3/8” x 7 1/2”
Note: All Ramas will fit a US standard 7 1/2" colour frame.
