Pacific lenses and optics offer versatility for Hillsong Church

Hillsong Church is a 3,500 seat auditorium complex which also houses lecture rooms and a broadcast centre along with all the facilities required by a large modern worship centre. Set up like a theatre with movable walls that allow the back seating areas to be transformed into lecture rooms makes this a very versatile building.

The lighting designer, Ian Anderson, was well aware of Hillsong's expectations as he developed the rig. Utilising his vast exerience Ian specified a range of equipment that would be the envy of most performance venues, including 24x Arena 2.5kW PCs, 20x Arena HP 2.5kW Fresnels, 30x Aurora Floods, 86x Pacific ellipsoidals, 16x 4-way cycs as well as a series of moving lights and other traditional luminaires.

"We have a large stock of Pacifics that have worked since day one in the hands of lighting crews, students and volunteers", said Ian. "The choices in the lenses and clean crisp optics make them suited for the small theatrical piece to the large scale worship recordings."
