Philips Entertainment Lighting appoints new international Commercial Leaders

Philips Entertainment Lighting Group has announced the appointment of three new Region Commercial Leaders to support the Philips Entertainment business in North America, EMEA and Australia / New Zealand. These positions are in addition to the Asia – Pacific Region, which is already led by Selwyn Jonker.

Julie Smith has been named Director, North American Commercial and Global Support Operations. Smith will maintain her current global Customer Service responsibilities while assuming overall leadership for the Selecon and Strand businesses in North America. Reporting directly to Julie will be Pete Borchetta, Product Manager for Strand/Selecon and a newly created National Sales Manager - to be announced shortly.

Graham Eales (left) has been appointed General Manager, Entertainment Australia / New Zealand and will relocate to New Zealand with his family in due course. Eales replaces Jeremy Collins, who retired on June 30, 2011. Until recently Eales held the role of Entertainment Controls Systems Director, Europe. In his new role, he will take both commercial and operational responsibility for the Philips Entertainment businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

The commercial Leader for the EMEA region will be the subject of a future announcement. Bob Schacherl will maintain his current leadership role of Director, Vari-lite Global Sales.
